Westminster: Police charge two men for allegedly stealing petrol

POLICE have charged two men with stealing petrol from a service station in Westminster.

About 10am on November 8, Police Air Wing officers saw a Nissan Navara driving from a petrol station on Wanneroo Road.

The police helicopter followed the car before Morley Police officers stopped it on Wattle Street in Tuart Hill.

Officers chased the driver before arresting him on York Street in Tuart Hill.

Police searched the car and the two men and allegedly found cannabis, methylamphetamine, a glass smoking implement and pepper spray.

A 40-year-old Lockridge man was charged with possess prohibited drug, possess drug paraphernalia, stealing, no authority to drive, possession of stolen or unlawfully obtained property and breach of bail.

A 29-year-old East Fremantle man was charged with stealing, possess a controlled weapon and breach of bail.

They are due to appear before Perth Magistrates Court today.
