WESTMINSTER Primary School students can further develop their science knowledge and skills in a new lab.

A classroom was converted into a science lab, as part of a State Government commitment.

It is one of 200 classrooms in WA schools that would be converted into labs.

Education and Training Minister Sue Ellery said she was excited to see students expand their love of science.

“Students can now fully immerse themselves in Westminster Primary School’s excellent science program,” she said.

“The new science laboratory will ensure that students successfully make the transition from primary to high school science.”

Mirrabooka MLA Janine Freeman said the school had been in a leader in science in the state, as it won a WA’s Science School of the Year award and the Prime Minister’s Prize for Excellence in Science Teaching.
