Woman (81) left for dead after suspected Embleton home invasion

AN 81-year-old Perth woman is fighting for life after being attacked and left for dead in her front yard following a suspected home invasion.

Detectives say a man knocked on the woman’s front door in Embleton on Tuesday evening asking for money, before attacking her and leaving her with bruises and cuts.

While speaking to paramedics her condition deteriorated and she was taken to Sir Charles Gardiner Hospital where she is in a critical condition.
