Woman charged over Perth house fire

ARSON squad detectives have charged a woman in relation to a house fire in Morley.

Emergency services were called to a house in Morley’s Camboon Road at around 5.40pm.

“The Department of Fire and Emergency Services attended the scene and extinguished the fire,” a spokesman for WA Police said in a statement.

“The fire had caused damage to the unit, and an adjoining unit.

“As part of the investigation a 27-year-old woman was arrested at a shopping centre in Noranda at approximately 8:30pm.”

A 27-year-old woman from Morley has been charged with criminal damage by fire.

She was refused bail and was due to appear in the Perth Magistrates’ Court on Friday.
