Woman left fighting for her life after a collision in Dianella has passed

THE 87 year old woman left fighting for her life after a collision in Dianella on Thursday has passed away.

A St John Ambulance carrying three passengers and a Hyundai Getz, also with three occupants, were involved in the crash about 2.45am on July 12 near Woodrow Avenue and Alexander Drive.

Major Crash officers charged a 30-year-old Beechboro woman with two dangerous driving occasioning grievous bodily harm and no authority to drive.

It will be alleged the woman was driving a Hyundai Getz west along Woodrow Avenue in Dianella, through a red traffic light which interrupted the flow of traffic.

Shortly after, she collided with the ambulance, causing it to roll onto its side.

A 24-year-old female passenger in the Hyundai also sustained serious injuries.

The woman is next due to appear in the Perth Magistrates Court on July 18.
