AFL should pay

The new stadium has been quoted as costing $1.3 billion and the AFL contribution to that cost has been published as $120 million.

Why should nearly two million people subsidise through the WA tax system 60,000 who wish to attend AFL games?

The AFL should have or start a contingency stadium fund that adds at least $5 to the entry fee for each game.

This stadium contingency fund approach by the AFL would go a long way to there being enough State money to build another floor on the new children’s hospital.
