AT the dedication ceremony of the Town of Bassendean's War Memorial within the new civic garden on Saturday, April 11, the rain fell like tears at the end, only adding to complete a memorable and moving service.
The memorial is well situated in the garden and the area can only be described as a wonderful asset to the Town; a place where one can truly reflect on the meaning of sacrifice.
As we move closer to the commemoration of Anzac Day, the council can only be congratulated on creating such a wonderful and serene meeting place - a place of remembrance.
