WALKING recently near the Guildford Road Bridge and along Victoria Street, all in the City of Swan, there were many squashed aluminium cans and tossed away plastic litter that can trip people up, perhaps resulting in broken hips.
By contrast, Bassendean’s street litter is substantially less.
How could amalgamation with Swan, as promoted by Mayor Gangell and chief executive Bob Jarvis, in such a simple matter be seen as a great move?
When will a community amalgamation referendum be held, and not rely on a handful of respondents to define Bassendean’s future?
