Opinion: No need for new child health centre in Bassendean

WELL spoken Mr Mayor; we do not need a new child health centre in Bassendean, we have one.

Our service in Bassendean is free and the 60-year-old building is well situated in a lovely parkland setting. This building has many more years left, so why use ratepayers’ money to pay rent elsewhere?

Perhaps those councillors who feel that this building, which is part of our history, is inadequate could get a can of paint, pick up a brush and use it to spruce up this elderly gem nestled in the park.
