Bassendean Has Part to Play in Climate Change

AT the recent conference in Paris, world leaders came together and recognised that climate change is real and global warming is already happening.

Many countries committed to reducing greenhouse gases and to making a greater effort to protect the environment.

Here in the Town of Bassendean, it is not necessary for the council to implement great changes; it could play its part just by not cutting down any more trees, and preserving what we have left.

Leave the oval, the trees and grass alone. Do not destroy the shady little triangle between Old Perth Road and Guildford Road.

The Town has given many approvals for residents to sub-divide their properties.

It seems to be prepared for the whole area to be covered with roads, buildings, brick paving and concrete driveways.
