School sparkles

WHAT a gem Bassendeans Cyril Jackson Senior School campus has become.

This school provides a fantastic student support system with a great amount of emphasis put on the individual qualities of each student with the teachers extremely enthusiastic and passionate.

As a bias parent of a student attending this school, Im delighted with the high standard of teaching and support given to students to achieve their potential.

This school was named in 1964 after Sir Cyril Jackson who lived in Daylesford House, a stately home down by the river.

He was the appointed inspector-general of schools in Western Australia in 1896 and completely reformed the teaching system.

Therefore, it is no wonder this school is such a jewel.

Its another reason why Im so proud to live in Bassendean and be a part of this wonderful community.

GERRY COLEMAN,

Bassendean.
