IN response to the letter by Nonie Jekabson in last week’s edition headlined ‘Thanks Paul’, councillors were well aware of the need for widening of the entry driveway into Bassendean Shopping Centre from West Road.
Officers were already negotiating the correction and that was scheduled on completion of the lower car park. While we appreciate Cr Bridges reinforcing what was already going to happen, it was the whole council and all the councillors who supported the issue and so it is only fair all the council and not just one councillor be acknowledged.
It is council that makes the decisions, not an individual councillor.
