Travel sense

Janice TeoEastern Reporter

IT is a crying shame that a significant amount of Bassendean Primary School oval is to be turned into a staff car park.

Surely it would make sense to ask staff to seek out alternative travel.

If staff live in the Town of Bassendean a bike should suffice, and if out of Bassendean there is ample public transport with the Bassendean station 1.6km, Success Hill station 1km and the Hyland Street after West Road bus stop only 270 metres away from the school.

Car pooling is another option.
