This is especially so when the fireworks display at Ashfield Oval is close to houses and the sweltering heat poses dangers. That does not seem to matter at all.

Who would be responsible in the event of a fire caused by a spark? It is way overdue for some truly creative thought about how to spend the phenomenal amount of money that literally goes up in smoke, not to mention the plight of animals that are terrified as well.

With the summer getting more intense and water getting ever scarcer, Australia hardly needs to contribute to the problem.

We see the dreadful tragedy that fires cause to all helpless animals and people. Therefore, wouldn’t it be better and far more worthwhile to improve and help Mother Nature to recover from the dreadful destruction that humans inflict on her, rather than 20 minutes of fireworks.
