A SUNKEN home theatre room and bathrooms big on wow factor are just some of the design trends on show at a new display village in Treeby.

Stockland’s Calleya village features 28 homes by Perth builders and a wide variety of building styles.

Stockland WA Residential general manager Col Dutton said the village showcased home designs and ideas for people at all stages of life, from first-home buyers to downsizers.

“There’s an impressive range of contemporary homes on show including a variety of single and two-storey designs with plenty of options to suit different budgets and lifestyles,” Mr Dutton said.

“High ceilings, multi-purpose entertainment rooms, impressive bathrooms and courtyards for indoor/outdoor living are among the popular design features on display.”

The four-bedroom, two-bathroom Delano by Dale Alcock Homes is one of the homes on display with a spacious master suite, kids’ zone and a sunken home theatre room.

Dale Alcock Homes design manager John Care said it integrated style and functionality.

“The home was designed with ease of access in mind, with the garage providing easy access to the kitchen and laundry, which is perfect for bringing in the groceries and dealing with dirty sports kits or work clothes,” he said.

“The kitchen is a sleek, modern design with plenty of storage, a coffee area and a walk-in pantry and larder.”

“The high raking ceilings and central fireplace in the open-plan living and dining area create an expansive, light-filled space.”

The home’s ensuite has a lot of wow factor, from the contemporary cabinet design with open box storage and drawers to the sleek large vanity basin with mixer taps, and the huge walk-in shower, double shower rails and stunning feature rain shower.

The display village on Cedarleaf Entrance is open from 2pm-5pm on Monday and Wednesday, 1pm-5pm on Saturday and noon-5pm on Sunday.

Calleya will ultimately comprise almost 1900 dwellings and future plans include a primary school, neighbourhood shops and retirement living.
