Dalkeith on Waratah: apartment lifestyle where size matters

Natalie HordovEastern Reporter

They do not feel like apartments at all, and with floor plans ranging from 171sq m to 314sq m, they can offer as much room as a house.

High ceilings add to the feeling of space, and most apartments have two living areas and two master bedrooms.

Selling agent Cheryl Stewart said, as well as noting the high level of finishes and quality fixtures and fittings throughout, people viewing the apartments frequently commented on their size.

“Many of the people coming to see the development want to downsize from a house and they want an apartment that will have plenty of room for all their furniture,” she said.

“The living areas will fit a large lounge suite and dining table with ease, and the bedrooms will easily accommodate a king-sized bed.

“The huge balconies also have ample space for outdoor seating, dining settings and barbecues.”

Storage is also a key feature.

“People have often accumulated a lot of possessions over the years and good storage is important, as they don’t want to have to downsize all their belongings when they downsize their residence,” Ms Stewart said.

“These apartments have a massive amount of storage, from the built-in and walk-in robes in the bedrooms, to cupboards in kitchens, hallways and foyers, as well as a separate store room.”

Built over four floors, with commercial space on the ground floor, two and three-bedroom apartments on the first and second floors, and nine three-bedroom, penthouse apartments with gallery-like mezzanine living areas on the third floor, Dalkeith on Waratah offers a luxury apartment lifestyle not previously available in this prestigious area.

Each apartment is unique, with varying floor plans, individually designed and crafted kitchens with Gaggenau appliances, timber or stone flooring, and a choice of co-ordinated interior colour palettes.

Ms Stewart said the location was a major drawcard. “We are seeing a lot of interest from local buyers,” she said.

“There are many Dalkeith residents who want to move from their large home to a quality apartment, but don’t want to leave the area they are connected to.

“They want to be close to friends and family, their golf or tennis clubs, their favourite restaurants and cafes, and the doctor they have been seeing for years.

“They want to stay close to home, and until now there haven’t been apartments in their area to meet that need.

“Dalkeith on Waratah is attracting a lot of attention, as it offers luxury living in the suburb they know and love.”

Prices for a single-level, two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment with two living areas start from $1.685 million, while the three-bedroom, three-bathroom penthouses are priced from $2.495 million.
