REALMARK Premier sales associate Daniel Gonzalez has had a remarkable start to his career, selling property worth more than $50 million and generating $1.086 million in gross commission in his first year as a listing agent.
While this is an outstanding feat, he said money was not his motivation.
His goal was to make sure clients, both buyers and sellers, had a memorable real estate experience, and he said this was behind his success.
“We bend over backwards for our clients; for example, if a client has a problem at 8pm on a Sunday night, instead of sending an email, I will see them in person,” he said.
“I believe one listing equals a career path if you treat it like it is something precious.
“I can remember my first listing, we were always making sure everything was 100 per cent, and the property sold in 17 days and above the seller’s expectations.
“My next listing came from that one and even now, just 12 months into my career, I am starting to get repeat business and get 10 to 15 referrals per month.”
Mr Gonzalez worked hard to establish his career.
“When we started, we didn’t have a circle of influence and we were up against people who had been in the industry for many years,” he said.
“We doorknocked in my areas of Trigg and North Beach and introduced ourselves to the community.
“We booked appraisals, and appraisals became listings.”
Mr Gonzalez’ wife Maria, an architect, has joined him in the business.
He works with sellers and Mrs Gonzalez helps buyers through the real estate transaction.
Their goal for the next 12 months is to assist 100 people with their real estate transitions, making sure it is a memorable experience.
