The 14th annual event kicks off with a ceremonial start at Yagan Square on August 9 from 11am before heading to Whiteman Park for the official competition start at 1pm.

Cars will drive through the Perth Hills, including stages at the Mundaring Weir and the Kalamunda Zig Zag, before returning to Northbridge for a night show from 6pm to 8.30pm on August 10.

On August 11, teams will take on 122km of fast-flowing roads at the Toodyay, Maryville Downs and Bullsbrook stages.

The competition wraps up at the finish line in Malaga, followed by presentations at the City of Perth Super Stage from 1pm on August 12.

Event director Ross Tapper said there would also be a celebration of motorsport at Langley Park on August 12.

“We have dedicated spectator points on each stage, which is a safe spot that will give everyone a great view of the action,” he said.

“There is plenty of fresh motorsport talent who will be participating in only their first or second Targa West, as well as some more familiar names of Western Australian tarmac rally who we are excited to welcome back.

“The Celebration of Motorsport will join Shannon’s Classics on the Park, Targa City Sprint, and the City of Perth Super Stage in providing a full day of free family-friendly motorsport entertainment to the riverside precinct.”
