Bassendean Tennis Club installs electronic booking system for players

Kristie LimEastern Reporter

BASSENDEAN Tennis Club players have access to the convenience of an electronic booking system for the first time.

The State Government granted the club with $13,000 to install the system and a new access gate.

Members of the public can hire courts more often, with access no longer being reliant on a club volunteer to be onsite to unlock the gates.

The club, which opened as West Guildford Tennis Club in 1913, is at 16 Hamilton Street, Bassendean.

“I am pleased to have been able to secure funds for Bassendean Tennis Club, a fantastic club in the community and one of the oldest at 104 years old,” he said.
