Bears’ pair Jonty Wilde and Liam O’Connor were outstanding, with the pair combining for seven wickets, as the Mariners were bowled out for 141.

In an exciting afternoon, the Bears then fell to 3-53 at the close of play with Aiden Andrews taking three wickets for the visitors.

Aaron Todd remains 21 not out and looms as crucial to the end result, alongside Robbie Guy (seven not out).
