BAYSWATER-Morley are locked in a tight affair with Rockingham-Mandurah, with 13 wickets falling on the first day of their round 12 Premier Cricket clash at Hillcrest Lower Oval on Saturday.

Bears’ pair Jonty Wilde and Liam O’Connor were outstanding, with the pair combining for seven wickets, as the Mariners were bowled out for 141.

In an exciting afternoon, the Bears then fell to 3-53 at the close of play with Aiden Andrews taking three wickets for the visitors.

Aaron Todd remains 21 not out and looms as crucial to the end result, alongside Robbie Guy (seven not out).

Rhys Hampson (four), Jake Lewis (seven) and Mitch Todd (11) were dismissed late on day one.

It is a must win game for 11th placed Bayswater-Morley, with their slim finals hopes hinging on a number of late victories.
