Cricket: Robert Guy win’s Bayswater-Morley player of the year award

Guy won the honour at the club’s end-of-season presentation dinner at the Hilton on Saturday.

Guy, who started the season playing second grade, finished as the first grade side’s top scorer with 511 runs at 63.88 including a century against Gosnells.

Brad Gartrell and Jarrad Daniells won the John Moore Medal for lower grades.

It was another disappointing season in first grade for the Bears, who finished 10th with six wins.

Nathan Rimmington did win the WA Premier Cricket First Grade Bowling Average Award at Friday night’s Olly Cooley Medal after taking 26 wickets at 14.77. Bryce Jeffery was also recognised with the Albert Ritchings Medal for best Third Grade player.
