FORMER boxing world champion Danny Green gave a strong message about anti-bullying to more than 80 students at a Malaga gym last week.

Green ran two boxing clinics for kids and adults at ATI Martial Arts School on October 20.

ATI Martial Arts School director Tony Curtis said the students were inspired by Green’s boxing skills and tips.

“Most people were pretty star-struck because Danny is a pretty polarising character but he is also really good with the kids,” he said.

“He also did ‘crazy boxing’ with the big gloves so you don’t get hurt and let the kids punch him and pretend that he got knocked out.”

Curtis said Green advised the students to look after their training partners and respect differences in skill level.

Green will be travelling to ATI’s Broome branch in May 2018.
