READ NOWHead coach Adam Forde said there were a few firsts for the team during the game.
‘Not only was it our first win on the road this season, but it was also the first time we held a team to under 100 points,’ he said.
‘Defence was a big focus for us this week, so I was really impressed with the guys that they did such an incredible effort in Kalgoorlie.’
The win still sees them sitting three positions outside the top eight.
‘We have some important games coming up against teams that are in the same position as us,’ Forde said.
The Eagles welcome back co-captain Tom Jervis, who was part of the Perth Wildcats championship team, and whose first game is on Saturday at the Morley Recreation Centre.
