DIANELLA-based Harlies Hockey Club president Diana Fuller is hoping to grow the club’s junior numbers for the 2018 winter competition and beyond.

The non-for-profit club caters for all age groups and is located at Breckler Park, Cornwall Street in Dianella.

The junior season will start in May while the seniors will start on April 14.

Fuller said the club had about 85 members aged between four to 75 years of age.

“Over the years numbers have fluctuated…currently we have five senior teams and around 20 juniors,” she said.

“(We) hope to field five teams and grow our juniors.”

Fuller said in 2018 the club wanted to continue to have a family atmosphere.

“We are a group of volunteers that love the sport, many of us have been part of the club for over 10 or 20 years and many of us have seen our children grow as part of the club culture,” she said.

The club will be hosting a pre-season carnival featuring Ellenbrook Falcons Hockey Club, Eastern Blades Hockey Club, ECU Ranger Hockey Club and Whitfords Hockey Club on April 8.
