Pair to test out soccer skills

The Year 12 students have been two of the best to go through the school’s soccer program, physical education teacher Joe Wright said.

‘We are very proud of both of their achievements,’ he said.

‘They are from migrant families (Africa) and have been looking at ways to help raise funds for the trip.

‘The Balga Community Association heard about their selection and were keen to sponsor them and have donated $1000 to assist the boys with their travel expenses.’

Wright said the generous offer had gone a long way to getting the boys to Sydney and representing the local community and Western Australia.
