Seven fours and 11 sixes came from Terry’s bat, as he and Blake Reed turned the match on its head with a blistering 177-run second-wicket partnership.

Reed continued to belt the ball to all parts after losing bash brother Terry, boosting the score to 225 before he too was removed for a quick-fire 56.

The Tigers simply had no answers to the dramatic onslaught by Melville..

The usually cool, calm and collected Tigers found themselves under serious scoreboard pressure for the first time this season, which proved to be telling in the end result.

Jacob Whiteaker (60 from 50) and Jamie Crawley (42 not out from 25) were the best for the Tigers with the bat, but they could not find partners to build an effective run chase.

Melville will play Subiaco Floreat in the T20 Grand Final on February 3.

Subiaco Floreat 8-113 (Fatouros 38, Lane 16, Verco 3-17) defeated Midland-Guildford 110 (Verco 30n.o., Borthwick 26, Hart 3-27), Abbett Park

Subiaco Floreat has scraped home against Midland-Guildford in a thriller by two wickets on a bowler-friendly pitch on Sunday at Abbett Park, advancing to the T20 Grand Final.

After winning the toss and electing to bat, Midland-Guildford struggled to find a partnership early on, crumbling to 5-36.

Michael Hart was on fire with the ball for the Lions in the first half of the innings, taking 3-27 from his four overs.

Corry Verco (30 not out from 31) and Scott Borthwick (26 from 24) were the only two batsmen to dig their heels in at the crease, combining to score more than half of Midland-Guildford’s total.

Lucas Martin, Hamish McKenzie and Tim Monteleone chipped in with the ball for the Lions, combining for six wickets as the Black Swans were bowled out for 110.

With a small target to chase down, Geremy Fatouros and Calum How got the Lions off to a flyer, opening the run chase with a quick-fire 40-run partnership.

However, still full of adrenaline from his late innings cameo with the bat, Verco began to assert his dominance on the match once again, this time with the ball.

The versatile all-rounder claimed the first three wickets of the innings, putting the Lions on the back foot as they fell to 5-86.

A match-saving 22-run partnership to McKenzie and Aaron Lilly pushed the total to 108 before the Lions lost three wickets for one run to put a scare through the Lions’ coaching staff.

Finally, Conor Moldrich came to the rescue for the Lions, crunching a four to secure the nail-biting victory and sending the home team into the Grand Final.
