FANS went to great lengths to catch a glimpse of Manchester United when the football juggernaut touched down in Perth on Monday.
Among 200 supporters at the Terminal 1 observation deck were Perth couple Jon and Mandy Williams, who were born in Manchester and will watch the Red Devils play.
Teenager Ashley Carthew came all the way from Drysdale, Victoria, with his parents to see his idols.
“With an early 5am wake up yesterday, it was a long hour and a half drive to the airport and then a four-hour flight to Perth; we’re just going to Perth for one thing,” he said.
“This afternoon I got my jersey signed by club legend Bryan Robson; I cant believe it.”
The Carthews are among the 20,000 people expected to hit Perth to see United, who are staying at Crown.
