Swans girls grasp premiership cup

After a slow start in which they booted just one goal in the first quarter, Swan Districts took control to lead by eight points at the long break then battled on determinedly to hold off their rivals in the final term.

The two teams dominated the competition in 2014, winning two games each.

But despite the Titans finishing on top of the ladder, Swans won the second semi-final.

It was sweet revenge for the Swannies as they went down to the Titans in last year’s grand final.

Swan Districts captain Kara Donnellan was named best on ground and took home the Louise Knitter medal.

In the Reserves, it was the Coastal Titans who had the win, defeating the Swan Districts.
