Swimming: Podium finishes for Bayswater’s Central Aquatic Swimming and Lifesaving Club at open water event

BAYSWATER-based Central Aquatic Swimming Lifesaving Club finished this month’s 32nd Lake Leschenaultia Open Water Swim with five podium finishes.

Eleven swimmers took part in the event held from November 10-11 in Chidlow.

The event was organised by the Maida Vale Masters Swimming Club and had 250 novice and competitive swimmers.

Junior swimmer Sanko von Boehm finished first in the 400m non-competitive event and Dion Van de Nadort came second in the 800m race.

Meg Hopkins and Finn Van de Nadort took out second place in their age group for the 1.6km race, while Alex Rankin finished third.
