Bayswater Tennis Club unveils refurbished clubrooms

Kristie LimEastern Reporter

BAYSWATER Tennis Club’s refurbished clubrooms worth $1.4 million have been reopened to members ahead of the upcoming summer grass season.

The clubrooms, funded through the Federal Government, City of Bayswater and the club, were reopened on October 13. The previous clubrooms were built in the 1930s.

Club president Dan Kerrigan said the clubrooms were the start of new facilities at the club, with hard courts for junior coaching and competition to be installed at the end of the coming summer grass season.

Mayor Dan Bull looked forward to seeing more than 1000 members making the most of the facilities for many years to come.
