The Bears ultimately fell short in an exciting fixture at Hillcrest Reserve as they tried to defend their day-one score of 221.

Jonty Wilde and Nathan Rimmington ripped through the Tigers’ top order to reduce the leaders to 4-84.

But the Tigers gained momentum through the middle order to eventually run out the winners.

Wilde finished with three wickets for the Bears, while Rimmington managed two in a strong display.
