WAFL: Swans fall to West Perth

Belinda CiprianoEastern Reporter

SWAN Districts and West Perth did battle in their annual Anzac Round clash with West Perth defeating the black ducks 13.14 (92) to 10.9 (69).

The Falcons missed plenty of chances in the opening quarter including the first four behinds of the game and that helped Swans to a one-point quarter-time lead.

Michael Lourey kicked West Perth’s opening three goals and the Falcons looked on top when Joel Leeson booted his second late in the opening half, but Swans stayed in touch with Tony Notte’s second to cut their half-time deficit to 14 points.
