We need to win tonight

While there was plenty of talk regarding the implications of the game and the standings at the conclusion of the regular season, I was more disappointed in our focus and intent on the court.

Reviewing the game there were some elements that could definitely be changed. We allowed Stephen Holt off the reins and he showed us why he’s such a quality player.

It’s particularly tough to guard a shooter when his confidence is up, so we need to do a better job of limiting the open looks available to players such as Holt, preventing them the chance to get their eye in.

Our ball movement and lack of composure was evident at times.

In recent weeks our flow on the offensive end has been beautiful but unfortunately we took a backwards step.

Tonight’s game against Sydney at Perth Arena is a fantastic opportunity to get back on track.

Every game serves a purpose in our progression and I can’t wait to see how the team responds.
