THREE young gymnasts from a Malaga-based club representing WA achieved podium positions at the Australian Gymnastics Championships in Melbourne last month.
West Coast Gymnasts Todd Brinkworth (16) from Beechboro won a bronze medal on the Pommel Horse, while Ellenbrook identical twins Keara and Kayla Nel (16) won gold on floor and vault respectively.
Keara also won bronze on vault.
The twins also won silver medals for the Double Mini Trampolining WA Team Event a week after the national competition.

Senior women’s coach Marie Pudelek said it was pleasing to see top results from the gymnasts who put in years of hard work.
The club had been running for more than 30 years and specialised in gymnastics and acrobatics.
