But internally, we celebrate the win for 24 hours, get through recovery on Monday and then start building to the next game.

While thats the attitude inside the club, we do understand what it means to our fans and were really excited for them.

You do hear all the talk in derby week and how West Coast supporters were so keen for us to end a six-game losing streak.

But we couldnt focus on the past, we had to focus on the now.

It was satisfying because we have really enjoyed competing against the best sides in the competition. Obviously Fremantle sits at the top of the table so to beat them was important just because of what it does for our quest to finish as high as we can.

We cant control anything that happens around us with the results of other clubs, so our fate is in our own hands. We just have to keep winning and see where that puts us at the end of the qualifying rounds.

It doesnt get any easier either as we play the Western Bulldogs at Subiaco Oval next Sunday. They are in the top four and belted Melbourne by 100 points last week, so we know theyre going to be ready for this. Its a game with high stakes, so were expecting another big build-up.

Well get Lecca back this week and maybe Nic Naitanui. In their absence, the boys who have been given an opportunity have really stepped up. The key is to have every player commit to their role and they certainly did that on Sunday.
