PERTH Bayswater Rugby Union Club’s 2017 pre-season will kick off with a special appearance from the Western Force squad on January 17.
The Force will join Perth Bayswater’s open training session before hosting a coaching clinic for kids at Pat O’Hara Reserve.
Perth-Bayswater Rugby Union Club committee member Lincoln Hefferen said Western Force squad’s appearance was open to the entire community.
“We hope to get a number of current junior teams so that would be about 30 or 40 kids at least but not just that but rugby fans,” he said.
“We encourage the junior community to come and view the boys training, followed by an informal signing session with the players post training.
“It is also a great opportunity for coaches to come down and view how a professional training session is conducted.”
Hefferen said the club appreciated the Force making time to meet and greet their fans in the area.
The open training session will be held at 4pm to 6.15pm and the coaching session will be held from 6.15pm to 7pm.
