ANDEAN music will come to Fremantle as part of Jaime Torres’s Australian tour.

Torres will perform around Australia with his charango (a small Andean stringed instrument like a lute) and his band of musicians.

Torres said Fremantle residents had a rare chance to see him perform live and that he promised it would be a spellbinding performance.

“We bring our people and their culture with us … to share with you their cultural heritage,” he said.

“We hope to see you and (that you) sing along with us.”

The performance will be held at the Fremantle Town Hall on December 12 from 6.30pm.

The tour will be presented with the help of Stories We Tell, which works to connect Australia’s indigenous people with those from Latin America.
