A classically trained musician, Wiecko will introduce Fremantle audiences to a piano show fusing classical and contemporary music.
Originally from Wales and now studying in Melbourne, Wiecko said his show came about in a typical visitor-to-Australia inspirational moment.
“I’d been backpacking around Australia with my vehicle when I settled in Cairns for a short amount of time,” he said.
“My funds were running low so I decided to sell my vehicle and buy a stage piano in order to do some performances.
“The chance to perform at a festival as established as the Fremantle Street Arts Festival is a really wonderful opportunity and I’m looking forward to sharing my art with the visitors and residents of Perth.
“If you want to see a red-headed Welshman offer something different to the usual piano palette, come down and check out my show.”
The Fremantle Street Arts Festival is on March 25 to 28.
