Dancers Nicole Ward, Tyrone Robinson, Zoe Wozniak, Shuling Wong, Harrison Elliott and Tahlia Russell will take to the stage in the thrilling and high-energy piece of work, which won the 2014 Western Australian Dance Award for Outstanding Achievement in Choreography.
Choreographer Brooke Leeder said audience members had told her they loved the complexity of the work but the simplicity of the concept.
The six dancers become inextricably linked as one moving mechanical body, she said.
The dancers move in patterns within the space, they create images of a moving kaleidoscope, the movement is fast and repetitive with daring physical contact.
Themost interesting part of this production is the venue, PS Art Space, which is such an atmospheric and beautiful space with pillars throughout, the dancers will be weaving around them.
The PSAS space will heighten the effect of the detailed patterning, creating a more vivid experience for the audience.
Mechanic is at the PS Art Space on August 13-15. Tickets from www.trybooking.com
