FORGET those tired, ear-bashing carols – the Fremantle Arts Centre (FAC) will be hosting Christmas music people will never get sick of when the St George’s Cathedral Consort return this month.
After a sell-out performance last year, the consort will be joining with soprano Sara Macliver for a two-night season to perform a collection of festive favourites in an early Christmas special.
Macliver said she was thrilled to be doing two shows this year.
“Last year sold out very quickly so this will allow more people to hear this incredible ensemble,” she said.
“FAC is a really beautiful place to perform not only because of its beauty and intimacy, but also because of its natural acoustics.
“The audience will be treated to sublime music performed by outstanding musicians and led by Joseph Nolan, who is brilliant.
“I think it will enhance the festive spirit in an authentic, non-commercial and meaningful way.”
The St George’s Cathedral Consort and Sara Macliver will be at the Fremantle Arts Centre on November 12 and 13.
Doors open at 6pm for a 7pm start. Tickets start from $15 at oztix
