Fishy business comes to festival

Complete with dancing prawns, an octopus and jellied eels, the Fairly Fresh Fish Company will roam the port city offering unsuspecting locals their “produce”.

Fair Play Comedy’s Andy Kenny said the joy of street theatre was travelling and meeting people from all walks of life, with the simple goal of entertaining them.

“Some people accept that invitation and some don’t, but what we really aim for is that the people who take us up have a great experience and be rewarded for taking a chance on engaging with something unusual,” he said.

“The act is based around a couple of fishmongers who sell the exaggerated wares of prawns, clams, octopus, lobster and jellied eels rather than just the traditional cockles, mussels and food poisoning of old.

“Each one comes with its own story, personality and sometimes surprises for the audience to savour.

“We are, of course, really looking forward to performing at the Fremantle Street Arts Festival as it has a great reputation among the street |theatre fraternity.”

The Fremantle Street Arts Festival is on March 25-28.
