Alan Kennedy plays Swartz, a university professor living with motor neuron disease, in Tuesdays with Morrie who meets up with an old student, rekindling a strong friendship and changing both of their lives.
Kennedy said he enjoyed taking on the challenging role because of how good the writing was.
“The writing is first class, as evidenced by the acclaim the book and play have received,” he said.
“It is also a book which is studied by many schools around the world.”
Tuesdays with Morrie is at Stirling Theatre, Innaloo from February 19 to March 5.
