Juniper works at exhibition

The annual event will feature a collection of fine art " including paintings, mixed media, jewellery, ceramics, sculptures and glass " from a fresh intake of new painters and jewellers.

Among the new artists will be painter Marie Hobbs, printmaker Helen Clarke and sculptor Angela McHarrie. Many popular artists will return, too, including Juniper.

Hale art curator Sandra Murray said she was excited about the upcoming exhibition.

"We have a diverse range of subjects and styles on display, ranging from the vividly coloured work of Melissa Bentley to celebrated sculptors Mikaela Castledine and Theo Koning to perennial favourites Leon Pericles, and Jules and Jean Sher," she said. "We also have the endearing figurative paintings of Susanna Hawkes and the outstanding glasswork of Jamie Worsley."

Juniper said the exhibition was sure to impress.

"It's great to have a curator like (Ms Murray) on board," she said. "You know there's going to be a lot of great pieces from a variety of people at different stages of their careers."
