Starting at the Fremantle Hotel in 2002, the Big HOO-HAA has had audiences in stitches with an improvised comedy show put together from audience suggestions.

Founder Sam Longley said the event would see two teams of comedians take to the stage in a battle.

‘There are teams of comedians who use audience suggestions to create improvised sketches and we focus on character and situation to derive our humour,’ he said.

‘People don’t get enough opportunity to laugh and we work hard to create a show where our audience genuinely laugh out loud all night long.

‘We are going with the legs eleven bingo theme for this year’s birthday show and so we would be remiss if we did not have a bingo cage.

‘The teams of comedians will take the stage having no idea what is in store for them, the cage will roll, the balls will drop and the night will unfold as fate will have it.’

The Big HOO-HAA is at the Fly by Night Club on July 13 from 8.30pm. Tickets are $25 and can be bought from www.flybynight.org or www.|ticketek.com.au
