Tribute to be brought to life

Jessica NicoFremantle Gazette

The annual event is back for its 20th year with a performance of Mark-Anthony Turnage’s Blood on the Floor.

Turnage wrote the piece after his brother died from a drug overdose, interweaving it with jazz and classical elements.

The work will be brought to life by the likes of Ben Vanderwal on drums, Sam Anning on electric bass, Carl Mackey on saxophone and Andrew Nicholson on flute, who will be joined on stage by an ensemble of other musicians.
