The event, put on for 10-to 17-year-olds, will include a photo booth, a mechanical bull and food.

Youth Centre co-ordinator Paul de Bruin said the mini fest would run in line with other end of term parties put on by the centre.

‘The idea behind it is basically to have a youth week event which provides young people with opportunity to see youth bands play, hang out with mates, and basically have some fun in a safe, supportive and welcoming venue,’ he said.

‘The line-up will be made up of youth bands from the area showcasing their talents and a DJ playing some tunes to end with. There will also be information about opportunities for young people in the local area.’

The event is free.
