Six Aubin Grove Primary School students will head to Sydney for the tournament, which calls on competitors to solve demanding, open-ended challenges from different disciplines.
The Cockburn school qualified to compete against schools from Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong and Thailand after taking out the state finals of the language literature division at Edith Cowan University.
Deputy principal Mesha Steele said the school was hoping to fundraise about $1500 to help send the team east.
