ALDI’s expansion into WA continues unabated, with the retail juggernaut set to open 14 new stores in WA this year.
In the process, the German retail chain will bring its WA store count to 33 and create 350 new jobs.
Aldi’s first new outlet of 2017 will open in Morley, followed by new stores in Cockburn, Lakelands, South Fremantle, Spearwood, Banksia Grove and Secret Harbour.
The chain opened 19 stores in 2016, employing nearly 500 Western Australians.
“By the end of 2016, ALDI had served approximately 3.2 million Western Australian shoppers, a testament to ALDI’s growing popularity in the local community,” an ALDI Australia spokesperson said.
“We look forward to helping even more people discover the benefits ALDI can bring to their wallets and lifestyles in 2017.
“Western Australians have embraced the ALDI shopping experience, which offers a convenient way to shop for high-quality products at permanently low prices.”
Aldi’s long-term plan will see up to 70 stores in WA.
