Anti-social behaviour amongst concerns

A taste of what the locals thought:

– East Fremantle: I feel that the use of an A-class reserve should be for the support of heritage, that is historical significance to be accessible at all times and the pristine shoreline to be maintained in a tranquil state for visitors to absorb our special history of settlement and Aboriginal culture.

– Fremantle: I think the proposed plan for the J Shed represents a great opportunity for activating a beautiful, and under-utilised part of our City. When integrated with Bathers Bay, Kidogo and the Kelp Bar, the Boardwalk and Fishing Boat Harbour, we should see this as a favourite spot for people of all ages to explore and enjoy. It will be an entertainment and recreational precinct, not merely an artists precinct!

– North Fremantle: Bring poor old Fremantle back to life. I lived and worked in Fremantle during the America’s Cup. I would love to have that vibe and electricity back in Fremantle. J Shed is a step in the right direction. Thank you.

– South Fremantle: I would urge you not to support the development of the Sunset proposal for a huge tavern and music venue at J Shed. Fremantle suffers enough from noise pollution and alcohol-fuelled violence without further eroding its peace and beauty. Something the size of Kelp Bar is fine, but no bigger ” please!
