Arrivals at Fremantle Port prove popular

The Bark Europa, Oosterschelde and Tecla docked at Victoria Quay on Thursday afternoon after sailing from Mauritius.

The three ships and British tall ship Lord Nelson were welcomed with a festival at Victoria Quay over the weekend.

Despite the weather on Saturday, a number of brave people took to the port to have a look at the rare sight.

Everyone took advantage of the better weather on Sunday, with hundreds of people cramming the port, lining up to get a feel of what it is like on board the ships, with children poking their heads through portholes and turning the ship’s wheel, as well as more than a few tributes to the Titanic’s famous bow scene.
